The Purpose of Tests

I think God is big on loyalty.

Lately, I have found myself reading James chapter one over and over again.

It seems that God holds off answering our prayers just to enjoy us choosing to be loyal to him even when we are not immediately getting our needs satisfied.

During times of testing, it seems that at least one attribute of God is being tested such as is God sovereign?

Is He really there to answer?

What if He never answers? Will we turn away?

In times of testing, we must refuse to believe what we can touch with our senses and refuse to doubt God's attributes no matter what.

If we allow ourselves to think that God is not who He says He is, and does not do what He says He will do.

God promises not to answer our prayers.

However, if we stand our ground refusing to doubt God and His word, God is pleased with our loyalty to Him, and He will reward us accordingly.
