His Words in my Spirit

“The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them…

And the Spirit himself joins with our spirits to say we are God’s children”. (1)

The Spirit which is capitalized in the above scripture is God’s Spirit,

and the spirit which is not capitalized is our born again human spirit.

Both God’s Spirit and our spirit live within our hearts (or core) as believers. (2)

The scripture says that the two spirits join “to say we are God’s children”. (1)

This is an example of God’s Spirit speaking with your spirit, and thereby leading you.

If God’s Spirit is speaking with your spirit about being born again, I can assure you that God’s Spirit is speaking with your spirit about other things.

“But God has shown us these things through the Spirit.

The Spirit searches out all things, even the deep secrets of God.

Who knows the thoughts that another person has?

Only a person’s spirit that lives within him knows his thoughts.

It is the same with God. No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God”. (3)

The Spirit of God’s voice is not heard with carnal (or physical) ears.

In our hearts, His voice goes from His Spirit to our spirit then from our spirit to our conscience minds.

This communication is so natural that we sometimes dismiss it as being our own thoughts. (4)

We must train ourselves to discern when God’s Spirit is teaching our spirit in our hearts.

The Apostle John liked to describe the training of God’s Spirit as a “knowing.”

It is as if we can know the mind of God in an instant because God’s Spirit is teaching our spirit at lightning speed. (5)

The Apostle Paul referred to this spiritual conversation as a “word”. (6)

Not a paragraph, not a sentence, but a word. (i.e. stop, go, left, right, and so forth).

Remember, believers have the uncanny ability to identify the Spirit of God’s voice speaking with our born again human spirit. (7)

Watch what happens when you obey His voice...

and what happens when you don't.

If we utilize our ability to listen to the Spirit of God through our spirit, we will progressively learn God's will and become better acquainted with God Himself by doing so.
